• Experienced concrete placers and finishers who are able to work 5 days a week. Evening shifts are available.
• Experienced formworkers/mould makers able to read shop drawings and work to a high standard.

AUCKLAND CIVIL CONSTRUCTION LEADING HAND
Location: Auckland

Concrete Structures (NZ) Ltd is a leading nationwide civil engineering and construction company, specialising in civil structures including bridges, wharfs, reservoirs, underpasses, culverts, roads, foundations, piling, and the manufacture and erection of precast concrete products including pre-stressing and post-tensioning.

We require an experienced Leading Hand to join our Auckland Civil Operations.

You will work alongside the Site Foreman to ensure the project is delivered to a high standard, under tight time constraints, and will be responsible for the day to day operations of the project if the Foreman has to leave site. You’ll need to be able to think on your feet, solve problems and have great organisational skills.

• Trade qualification
• Previous civil construction experience
• Knowledge of Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental Management Systems 9001 &14001.
• Reliable and punctual
• Physically fit and energetic

Skills we are looking for are: Ability to set up mould, fabricate door cut outs and placing concrete.

Preferred skills are:
– Placing Concrete
– Fabricating Steelwork
– Carpentry works
– Steel fixing
– Mould Building/Boxing

Applicants must have the following attributes:

  • Commitment to attend work 5 days a week.

  • Previous experience in the Precasting or Building & Construction Trades is preferred but not essential, on the job training for the right applicant.

CHRISTCHURCH STRUCTURES FOREMAN / JUNIOR SITE ENGINEER
Location: Rolleston, Christchurch

Concrete Structures (NZ) Ltd is a leading nationwide civil engineering and construction company, specialising in civil structures including bridges, wharfs, reservoirs, underpasses, culverts, roads, foundations, piling, and the manufacture and erection of precast concrete products including pre-stressing and post-tensioning.

We require an experienced Site Foreman, preferably with an engineering qualification for our South Island Civil Operations.

You will be responsible for the day to day operations of the project and equally as important must ensure that the project is delivered to a high standard, under tight time constraints. You’ll need to be able to think on your feet, solve problems and have great organisational skills.

Applicants must have the following attributes:

  • Trade qualification and at least 5 years site supervisory/management experience
  • Previous civil construction experience
  • Preferably have the minimum units to operate Mobile and Crawler Cranes (US3789, 3795, 27676) or willingness to obtain them.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental Management Systems 9001 &14001.
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Physically fit and energetic
  • Positive attitude
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Willingness to travel for work around the South Island and at times stay away from home during the working week.
