LOCATION Tutaenui Road, Marton  •  PRINCIPAL Rangitikei District Council •  PROJECT DATES April 2012 to November 2012

Design and Construction of a circular prestressed, post tensioned 9m high, 30m diameter water retaining structure, including all associated pipe work, safety ladders, site drainage and sundry works.

Programme:  The project was completed within the anticipated contract period of 40 weeks and within the contract budget.

Quality:  Project Quality Plan was implemented and observed in accordance with the Company’s AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008 accreditation. No significant non-conformances were reported and minimal remedial works were required.

Health & Safety:  The site specific Health and Safety Plan was implemented and observed in accordance with the company’s secondary level requirements for ACC WSMP. There were zero LTIs or serious incidents.

Environmental:  The project was completed in a rural environment, specific measures were put in place to ensure that no harm to the environment ensued.

Management/Administration:  All aspects of the management requirements of the contract were met including reporting, communications, financial control and risk management.

Post Contract Evaluation:  The project engineer from Rangitikei District Council noted that “The concrete work and finishes were excellent; the Contractors Rep (Site Supervisor) was accessible and easy to deal with. Thoroughly professional company, and I would be happy to employ again.”
